On 6 March 2009, at approximately 0200 hours, the CSFC was dispatched for an electrical fire outside at the intersection of Township Line Rd and Clearview Rd. Upon FD arrival, there was a pole and wires down on the ground. Chief 33 had his second-in, Rescue 33, unit approach the scene from the opposite direction – from North Wales Rd – and they came upon an accident with a car that had struck the pole and a tree about 25 feet off of the roadway. As the car and the occupants were assessed, it became clear that extrication was required. The CSFC performed extrication. Station 33 was assisted by the Norriton Fire Engine Company (Station 61) for landing zone assistance as they helped land both PennStar and JeffStat helicopters for patient transport.
