Building Fire
208 Whitpain Hills Dr.
At 1531 hours, the Centre Square Fire Company was dispatched, along with units from Norriton Fire Engine Company (Station 61), North Penn Fire Company (Station 62), Upper Gwynedd Fire Company (Station 80) and the Second Alarmers Rescue Squad were dispatched for a building fire at 208 Whitpain Hills Drive. Upon arrival, Chief 33 observed smoke showing from the side A, from the second floor window of the end unit. Wissahickon Fire Company (Station 7) was added to the assignment as the RIT unit. The first-in engine, Engine 33, went in service for search and also with an 1 ¾” line to the second floor for fire suppression. There, the crew reported a second floor bedroom fire. They were supported by additional units who performed ventilation, ladder placement, checking of the exposures and overhaul. The fire was contained to the bedroom of origin, all searches were negative. All units cleared the scene by 1758 hours.
