House Fire
600 Block of Morris Road

Centre Square Fire Company along with North Penn Fire Company were dispatched to the 600 block of Morris Rd. for a report of a building fire on January 9, 2011 at 1924 hours. Chief 33 arrived on scene to report a three car attached garage fully involved extending to a two story single family dwelling. Norriton Fire Company was dispatched with SD-61 as the Rapid Intervention Crew. All occupant's were evacuated from the residence. Engine 33 arrived on scene and established a water supply and went in service with two, inch and three quarter hose lines inside the residence to control extension. SD-62 arrived and went in service with one, inch and three quarter hose line to seat of fire in the garage area. The fire was placed under control at 1953 hours. Damage to the residence was minimal but the three car attached garage was a total loss. Cause of the fire is being investigated by the Whitpain Township Fire Marshal's Office. Also assisting at the scene were Whitpain Township Police Department, Second Alarmers Rescue Squad, Plymouth Ambulance, and Whitpain Township Public Works Department for ice control. All units cleared the scene at 2156 hours.
