On May 24th, CSFC Assistant Chief Robert Hall was recognized as the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce's (montcocc.org) Firefighter of the Year. Hall was recognized for his lengthy service to the community, including over a decade as one of the CSFC Chief Officers. see story in the Times Herald |

On Sunday, 8 May, the second multi-alarm fire this year occurred in Whitpain. CSFC battled a five-alarm fire in the Steeplechase development off of Butler Pike. Wissahickon Fire Company (7) assisted on the first alarm, and numerous mutual aid companies were called to help control the fire. The Montgomery County Distrcit Attorney's office announced an arrest in a case involving several area arson fires, including the fire on Norristwon Road in Blue Bell on 25 January 2005. For details, see the article in the Times Herald. |
