Interchange, I-476 |
|
Centre Square Fire Cmpany and Harmonville Fire Company (44) were dispatched at xxxx hours for a vehicle rescue at the Mid-County interchange where the Blue Route and the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike come together. Initial reports were that a vehicle had crashed into the building at the toll plaza. A single southbound vehicle had hit the building, keaving the driver trapped and the car had begun to burn. Prior to the arrival of fire and rescue units, a tow truck driver used his vehicle to pull the car away from the building and had knocked down the fire. Both fire departments worked together to extricate the driver as quickly as possible. |
