Vehicle Rescue
Morris Road at Pinecroft Place, Blue Bell

Centre Square Fire Company was dispatched, along with Wissahickon Fire Company, at 0716 hours for a vehicle rescue on Morris Road.  The morning commute had been slowed throughout the region by a snowstorm.  Chief 33 Lee Miller arrived on scene to find a vehicle that had been eastbound on Morris Road which had skidded off the road, flipped on its side and impacted a tree.  The sole occupant was trapped inside and although shaken up, did not appear to be seriously injured.  Firefighters from both companies worked together to stabilize the vehicle and then remove the windshield, allowing the driver to emerge.  Second Alarmers ambulance crews then treated and transported the patient to a local hospital.
