Vehicle rescue
901 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell

The CSFC, along with Upper Gwynedd Fire Company (80) was dispatched at 1739 hours for a vehicle rescue at 901 DeKalb Pike, just south of Skippack Pike.  Chief 33 arrived on location to find two vehicles, follwoing a head-on collision.  One vehicle was a handicapped minivan, and the wheelchair-bound driver was trapped, between his wheelchair and the dashboard.  Both departments worked together to extricate the patient, assisted by EMS units from the Second Alarmers Rescue Squad (385) and Plymouth Ambulance (308) and the Whitpain Police Department.
